Session two will focus on snow anchors, belays and advanced crevasse rescue techniques. We will all set up alternative 3:1 (Drop End) and 6:1 (Drop Loop) systems. We will study forces on snow/ice anchors and ways to distribute forces on various anchors. We will demonstrate and practice belays useful in snow climbing.

Required Equipment
Harness with several slings - single and double; several locking carabiners; several non-locking carabiners, belay device, cordelette, prusiks and/or rope grab and progress capturing pulley (Tibloc and Microtraxion pulley are good examples).
