Classroom and lab session - equipment demo including ice tools, crampons, ice screws, v-thread tools. We will review some slides and then do the activities.

Basic rock climbing gear (harness, carabiners, belay device, slings/draws). We will be demonstrating the ice climbing sequence on flat ground.
