The Hike:   This loop hike is approximately 5.42 miles with an 371 ft elevation gain.   Our pace (moving speed) will be approximately 1.5 – 2 mph.  Soaring Eagle Regional Park is 600 acres of mature forests, wetlands, and wildlife habitat. Soaring Eagle sits above Patterson Creek on the edge of the Sammamish Plateau along the western flank of the Snoqualmie River Valley. This natural area provides sanctuary for black bear, bobcat, black tail deer and more than 40 species of birds.  More information about what to bring and wear will be provided in the Hello Hiker email.

My Style: I like to hike together as a group taking breaks as needed.  My goal is for us to enjoy the forest and wildlife along the way, which includes making stops to take pictures or discussing a plant or a bird.

Main entry on the west side of the park in Sammamish via 228th Avenue SE and SE 8th Street to the end of East Main Drive.  The address is 26015 East Main Drive.  The parking lot is paved, and a porta potty is located at the trailhead.  We will meet at the trailhead kiosk.
