June Hikes: 3.5 to 6 miles, 400 to 1,500 feet gain - Lake Wilderness Park

Hike along the Green to Cedar Rivers trail starting at Lk Wilderness Pk, walk a meditative Labyrinth, continue to playful Gnome Trail, have lunch stop at Maple Valley Farmer's Market, return to TH. This hike counts toward your monthly required GoHike course June trips.

  • In the first part of our hike, we'll take a few minutes to walk a Labyrinth. A Labyrinth is an ancient form of silent meditation that involves moving through a series of circular paths to a center. It is one of the oldest contemplative tools known to humankind. This ancient design has been found as far back as 3000 years in a variety of forms and cultures. Read more about "what are labyrinths" here….
  • The hike will continue further along the  Green to Cedar River trail to the Lake Washington Arboretum. Read more about the Arboretum here...
  • Back on the Green to Cedar River trail, the route proceeds to the Maple Valley Legacy Area  and the Gnome trail. Read more about it here ...
  • For our lunch stop, we'll visit the Maple Valley Farmer's market where you can add to the lunch you brought along or purchase your lunch makings. Read more about the Farmer's Market here ...
