April GoHike Urban Walk: 2.5 - 5 miles, 250 - 1,000 feet gain - Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park
Join me for an Urban Walk at Point Defiance Park, starting at Dune Peninsula and heading through the park to the serene Japanese Gardens, then on to Owens Beach before returning along the scenic waterfront Promenade. We'll navigate a mix of paved paths and gentle trails. This supportive loop lets us practice at a steady pace while soaking in gardens, forest, and Puget Sound views, staying together as a group with breaks to tune into our comfort and gear. This urban walk counts toward your monthly GoHike course April trips.

Expect a leisurely 5-mile loop at a conversational 1.5-2 mph pace on mostly flat, paved paths and gentle dirt trails, no stairs or steep sections, taking about 2.5-3.5 hours total with planned rest stops.
