April GoHike Urban Walk: 2.5 - 5 miles, 250 - 1,000 feet gain - Cross Kirkland Corridor Trail
Enjoy a Wednesday Morning urban walk meandering along Lake Washington, through parks and hidden walking paths, enjoying the historic sites and outdoor art installations. We will walk through downtown Kirkland and back along the Cross Kirkland Corridor(CKC) to Carillon Point.

A historical and artistic look at Kirkland, Washington.
What You'll See:
- Sculpture installations (many by sculptor Richard Beyer)
- Historic buildings from the 1880s-1930s
- Shipbuilding heritage and WWII naval history
- Peter Kirk's legacy throughout the city
- Stunning waterfront views of Lake Washington
Breaks: About 10 minutes into the walk, we’ll pause for clothing adjustments. We’ll also take a 15-minute break 1/2 way for water, snacks, bathroom use, and to check in on our pace.
Pathways: We will walk on sidewalks, some boardwalks, and the gravel trail on the Kirkland Corridor. There will be short climbs up Market Street through downtown Kirkland and up to the corridor, followed by a steep descent from the corridor back to Carillon Point.
Weather: We will hike rain or shine. However, we will not walk in high winds, snow, or heavy rain.
Meeting Date: Wednesday, April 29
Meeting Location: Carillon Point, main plaza by the bells outside the front of the Woodmark Hotel (Map & Directions)
Meet Time: 8:45 a.m. (arrive early to gear up and use the facilities)
Hike Start Time: 9:00 a.m. (be ready to walk)

Required Equipment
Gear: Please dress appropriately for the weather. Shoes or boots with good traction and layered clothing are recommended. Bring the ten essentials, a snack, and water.
