We will look at the packed backpacks in the lobby prior to our walk. We will start our walk around 10 or 10:30 to Kite Hill a bit over 1 mile from the Program Center. At our destination, we will set up our tents and make the sleeping systems just like if we were on a backpack trip. Then we will start on filtering/treating water, using our stove. You may want to "cook" your dehydrated meal to tryout or just heat water and bring your lunch. We can talk further about methods of packing your backpack and share and compare our knowledge of various gears. We will probably end by mid afternoon with a walk back to the Program Center
