Backpacking Building Blocks Student-Only Backpack - Pete Lake

Pete Lake is the headwater of the Cooper River, the most significant waterway of the Salmon la Sac region. The trail to the lake is one of the more popular hiking pathways on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass, with its diversity of uses and wildlife. Priority for this trip is for the Summit Sistahs B3 mentor group, but others may join if there is space available.

Meet at the Pete Lake Trailhead.

Time: 7:30am; Be ready to hit the trail at 8 am.

Pass Required: Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Pass

*This is a mentored backpack trip.

This is an easy to moderate hike with minimal elevation gain up to Pete Lake. This is a popular destination so we will be getting an early start here.  We will be camping lakeside so don't forget your bug spray and mosquito nets!  We'll also have plenty of time at camp so bring yourself some activities or throw in your daypack to explore some of the surrounding trails including the PCT.
