Backpacking Building Blocks Student-Only Backpack - Enchanted Valley

This is an amazing trip to get into backpacking! The Enchanted Valley, known for its towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and historic chalet, is a breathtaking destination deep in Olympic National Park. Get ready for lush old-growth forests, river crossings, and unforgettable views!

Day 1 – Journey to the Enchanted Valley!
We’ll hike 13 miles along the Quinault River, passing through mossy rainforests and alongside rushing streams before reaching the iconic Enchanted Valley Chalet. Once there, we’ll set up camp and soak in the stunning scenery—keep an eye out for elk and maybe even a black bear from a safe distance!

Day 2 – Relax & Explore!
This is a flexible day to enjoy the valley. You can choose to relax at camp, explore the waterfalls, or join an optional day hike to venture deeper into the wilderness. It’s the perfect time to take photos, enjoy nature, and fully embrace the magic of this remote paradise.

Day 3 – Back to Reality!
After an unforgettable adventure, we’ll pack up camp and hike back to the trailhead, leaving the Enchanted Valley with incredible memories.

⚠️ Important Notes:

- This may not be a good trip for people who are afraid of heights, as we will be required to cross a very narrow log bridge high above the river. Please consider this before signing up.

- Bear canisters are required in Enchanted Valley

🚗 A National Park Pass or America the Beautiful is required for this trip.

Wilderness permit will be acquired by the leader. Participants are expected to reimpurse the leare  permit fee - 8$ per person.
