This beautiful hike in the Olympic National Forest offers spring wildflowers, a climb up the Big Hump for excellent views, and a gorgeous campground on the Duckabush River. We will stop for beauty breaks along the way, enjoying what we have come to see.

The leader will host a Zoom call to discuss the trip about a week in advance. Details to come.
The trip will be canceled or relocated if the forecast calls for persistent rain.
We will meet at the Duckabush trailhead by 9:15 a.m. The trailhead is about 2.5 hours from Seattle. Drivers will need an America the Beautiful annual park pass or a Northwest Forest Pass to park.
From Quilcene, drive Highway 101 south for 15 miles, and turn west where a large sign indicates Duckabush Recreation Area. Continue six miles down this road, though the pavement ends at 3.6 miles. You will pass Collins Campground five miles in. Six miles in, there is a sign for a horse parking area on the right. Go just past this parking area and bear right and uphill onto Forest Road 2510-060, which is not well signed, and find the trailhead in 0.1 mile.
