One way trip along the east bank of Baker Lake from the South to the North.

We will shuttle cars between the Baker Lake trailhead and Baker River trailhead. The trip is two nights or 3 days:

  • Day 1 - Baker Lake trailhead to Maple Grove campsite: 4 miles

  • Day 2 - Maple Grove campsite to Noisy Creek campsite: 5.5 miles

  • Day 3 - Noisy Creek campsite to Baker River trailhead: 4.5 miles

This is a relaxed, early season one-night backpack along the East Bank trail of Baker Lake. This trail is known for gorgeous views of Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan. At Noisy Creek Camp we  set up camp, hike a short distance into the woods to check out “Big Doug,” one of the largest Douglas fir trees in the Cascades.

TBD

But most likely: we will meet at Silo Park in Concrete, WA at 9:30 am. We will then caravan to Baker River trailhead to set up the car shuttle before going to the Baker Lake trailhead.
