COVID-19: Learn about our most up-to-date guidance for participants and leaders on our COVID-19 Response page. All participants and leaders must agree to the COVID-19 Code of Conduct before participating in this Mountaineers event.

We believe we have a responsibility to teach climbers to be safe, efficient, and competent in the mountains. That's why we embarked on a project called Progressive Climbing Education - an initiative to re-think our program design to better meet the needs of the climbing community and better achieve our mission.

The first step involved intensive information-seeking - including an open call listening session like this - then we took the feedback to simplify our project goals. Those three goals have been to:
1) Develop Safe Climbers
2) Develop Good Stewards
3) Create a Welcoming Community.

At this follow-up listening session, we'll present options for enhancing our climbing programs based on the initial feedback and seek your input for the best ways to move forward.

All are welcome, and we'll provide pizza and snacks. Check out https://www.mountaineers.org/pceblog  to learn more about the project!

The meeting will take place in Silver Hall, located within Thornton A Sullivan Park. Park in the parking lot on the north end of the park, then enter at the gate and walk down the hill toward the waterfront. Silver Hall is on the left.
