Intermediate Leading On Rock

The leading on rock portion of the the Everett Intermediate Climbing class. An application must be submitted and approved before a person is accepted into this class.

Leading on Rock is the rock climbing portion of the  Everett Intermediate Climbing Course.  It includes 2 days of introductory skills review, 2 evenings of basic self-rescue instruction, and 4 weekend sessions at various PNW crag/climbing sites.

*Applicants must commit to attending all of the sessions as prerequisite to accepting a spot in this course.*

**Successful applicants must attend the Everett Instructor Review on January 15, 2022 at the Seattle Program Center.**

Required Equipment

Required equipment will be covered in more detail at the first meeting, LOR 0.  Every student is expected to have the following:

  • Harness
  • Helmet
  • Pear Locking Carabiner
  • Rappel device, ATC-guide or similar device with autolocking preferred
  • Cordelletes, slings
  • Rock shoes
  • Belay gloves
  • Alpine rack (can start small and share with a buddy)
  • etc.

Club ropes are provided for all field trips with the exception of LOR 4 - Squamish.
