Leading on Rock 1, Everett Intermediate Climbing Course - Lower Lump
NOTE: Due to competing permits, the LOR 1 field trip has been moved from Leavenworth to Index. INSTRUCTORS: this posting is for the student roster only! Please reach out to field trip leaders to register for this field trip. At LOR 1, students will learn the fundamentals of trad gear placements through completing mock leads. Students will also continue to practice building trad gear anchors.

At LOR 1 students will practice placing different types of trad gear and learn when to use it. These skills will be practiced while climbing top roped on single pitch route. Students will also continue to focus on building trad gear anchors.
The emphasis of this class is learning to rock climb as safely as possible in near vertical rock.
TBD. The field trip leader will email students at least 1 week before the field trip start date with logistics, a field trip outline, gear info, etc.
Required Equipment
Basic trad climbing rack, climbing harness, climbing shoes, climbing helmet.
Ropes will be provided.
