#1 TAKE ON THE STEWARDSHIP CHALLENGE
Sign up for one day of working on trails or other public lands. This year the Olympia Branch has invited all Mountaineers members to join in their annual challenge and help preserve and restore the lands where we recreate. No experience is necessary to make a difference, and your efforts can earn you your Stewardship Badge!
#2 ADVOCATE FOR THE OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE
Ask your lawmakers to pass America’s Outdoor Recreation Act, which was recently reintroduced in Congress. This act will help protect outdoor recreation, expand access, create new parks, designate new bike trails, protect bolted climbing, and help land managers collect visitor data that shapes how public lands are protected for years to come. We are especially excited to support permit system improvements that will reduce barriers for people to experience the outdoors through Mountaineers courses and youth programs.
