Gear Grab

Join us to buy and sell outdoor gear while supporting The Mountaineers mission!

Gear Grabs are open to everyone (members and nonmembers) who want to buy and sell gently used gear. You may find exactly what you're looking for or go home with something you didn't know you needed. Either way, you'll explore a treasure trove of cool outdoor gear!

Gear Grabs are held at the Seattle Program Center three times a year: winter, spring, and the end of summer.

Event Details

Buying gear?

  • Free to attend, no registration necessary
  • Open to Mountaineers members and nonmembers
  • Shop between 6-8pm
  • All sales are buyer beware
  • Venmo or cash is preferred for payments, there is not an ATM onsite

selling gear?

  • Sellers fill out a sign-up form available on each event page (remember to read the seller guidelines)
  • Only outdoor recreation items are allowed for sale
  • A good rule of thumb is if the item is likely to be found at REI, then it’s probably ok to sell
  • We encourage that 10% of proceeds from gear sales be donated to The Mountaineers after the event
