what to expect

Each April, 500 members and supporters from across the outdoor community come together for our  Gala at Fremont Studios. This signature fundraising event features a cocktail reception, three-course dinner, silent and live auctions, and a one-of-a-kind climbing-style competition. The evening also includes a fundraising appeal and the presentation of our Adventure with Purpose Award. With ticket levels tied to donation tiers, the Gala offers a meaningful way to support The Mountaineers while connecting and networking with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

Get Involved

  • Sponsorship. The success of our Gala is thanks to our sponsors. We are currently seeking sponsorships for the 2026 Gala. Please email Rose Steller Burke for details.

  • Table sales. Secure your spot at the Gala by purchasing a VIP table ($3K = 10 VIP tickets) or hosting a regular table ($2,500 = 10 tickets). We expect this event will sell out, so take advantage of this early opportunity before tickets go on sale in January. Please email Rose Steller Burke for details.

  • Auction donations. Year round, we solicit opportunities to partners with brands, businesses, and individuals for in-kind experiences, gear, and items of value to offer in our live and silent auctions. Please email Hannah Abebe to donate your time, expertise, vacation home, gear, or anything else.

  • Volunteer. The Gala is a huge undertaking and we appreciate anyone that would like to volunteer their time before and during the Gala.  Join us for our midday Gala prep work parties on April 16 or April 22. And please complete our Gala Volunteer Survey to volunteer at the Gala on April 25 (time commitment 2:30-10:30pm). Once completed Mountaineers staff will be in touch with a schedule and assignments.
