Find book marketing advice and ways to connect with your fellow Mountaineers Books authors.

Here we have gathered a few resources that will help you prepare for your book's release and continue to promote subsequently.

Download these guides for Marketing Tips:

  • Social Media Networking Sells Books
  • How to Give a Great Author Presentation
  • How to Give an Engaging Interview
  • Mountaineers Books Author Reimbursement FAQ
  • How to Sell Your Own Books at an Event
  • How to Have a Productive Independent Bookstore Visit
  • You've Written Your Book - Now What?
  • Mountaineers Books logos to download (including Skipstone and Braided River)

We also hope to encourage you to meet and support other authors working in our shared niche. "Support" may  mean just making new friends, or it may mean sharing each other's social media posts, or reviewing each other's books in your blog or website.

Here are other ways to support fellow authors:

  • Friend and Follow them on your social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Read and review their books on Amazon, Goodreads, and elsewhere.
  • Attend each others author presentations when possible and invite your friends to go with you.
  • Consider doing author events with other authors.
  • Include the book cover whenever you write about another author's book.
  • Seek advice from each other on things like presentation techniques and overcoming stage fright. (If you use Facebook, the Mountaineers Books Author Facebook Group is a great forum for these questions, as well as a place for you to connect with your fellow Mountaineers Books authors in general.)
  • Offer encouragement.
  • Follow and friend Mountaineers Books on your social media channels.

When you share, like, and post about other authors' books, you may feel that your social media channels don't reach as many people as you'd like, but that's why we're asking this whole group of talented writers and photographers to help each other. It's the "greater together" principle. And, of course, it's a shared effort. Help is always more motivating and effective when it's a two-way street.

Thank you for all your hard work. Mountaineers Books is grateful every day to work with talented people like you.
