In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Mountaineers has seen a wave of creativity from our volunteers. From fully online courses to hybrid online and in-person courses with small-group cohorts, volunteers are leading how we reimagine outdoor education in today's world.
As the pandemic continues, it's becoming clear that going back to "normal" is an unlikely option in the next year. We'll need to adapt to Phase 2 and 3 operations for the near future to ensure our community can continue to thrive. Volunteers need tools to to run trips and in-person programming during the pandemic.
To support our volunteers in this response, we're offering a new series of webinars on Redesigning Outdoor Education. This series will focus on using online tools to transition outdoor courses to a hybrid model. Staff will share their own successes and learnings from the past several months and invite volunteers to do the same. Our hope is to bring together volunteers from all branches and activities types in a collaborative conversation.
Advanced registration is required, and all sessions will be recorded. View past presentation materials and recordings in our Resource Center.
