We met at the junction of Mill Creek (FR 7305) and Mountain Home Roads (FR 7300) at 2443’ at 9 am. Cars were one Jeep and one 2wd "city car." The city car got one mile up the access road and parked. I ferried the rest of the gang up to the TH in the Jeep. By far, the crux of this trip is getting to the TH. A high clearance vehicle is an ABSOLUTE NECESSITY. There are some relatively narrow bits where even a high clearance car of normal width might have a problem. The road is narrow in a lot of spots from plant growth along the sides. We did not have to move any obstacles off of the road. If you park where our city car did, you will add 8 miles round trip to this scramble. Parking at the TH is very limited and will accommodate 3-4 cars max. From the TH, our trip was 4.5 miles and 2400'gain. Everyone did great, and had success. The only one who didn't make the top of the summit block was Gay Gibson, who is recovering from a broken ankle.
