A beautiful loop trip of ~15 miles and ~5000’ that started and ended at Longmire with a total time of ~13 hours. We had morning dew on the brush as well as clouds all day long with sun breaks here and there, a welcome respite from the recent high temperatures. Our route used the Eagle Peak trail to ~5000', then began ~4 miles of cross country travel to visit Wahpenayo Peak (6231’), Cliff Lake (5223’), Denman Peak (6006’), and Plummer Peak (6370’) before resuming trail hiking at the Pinnacle Peak Saddle (5960’). Finished the trip by hiking to Reflection Lakes and then the Wonderland Trail back to Longmire with brief stops at Narada Falls, Madcap Falls, Carter Falls, and the Nisqually River crossing.
