Trip Report

Urban Walk - Discovery Park

A great easy-paced walk around the park with several nice views of the Sound.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • There were a few muddy spots. Wear pants instead of shorts; there are a few forested trails with nettles. There are several flights of stairs (maybe 20-30 stairs in each) that we went down. I found these a bit challenging. (I'm 62 with one weak knee, and my balance is not great) I don't recall any hand rails. Overall, I thought the stairs were safe if taken slowly.

To get to the starting point, I used Google Maps. Do a search for "discovery park north parking lot" and you will get the exact location.
