  • Summer route is in -- from the end of the regular trail there is snow in places along with some light talus scrambling. Snow was soft enough for good steps going up and down. Snow finger / moat is in good shape and we navigated this without issue.

We got our start from the trailhead at 6:15AM with partly cloudy skies and a team of 8 strong students and leaders. The moat/snow finger was uneventful with just a few steeper steps near the end of the finger to get onto the rock. We got to the base of the climb around 2.5 hours from starting out and began roping up.

Everyone in the group climbed well and we all had a chance to enjoy a nice day on the summit. Rappelling was efficient. We sent ropes down with instructors to setup additional rappels and soon enough we were all at the base.

The hike out went quickly and we arrived at the car with a roundtrip time of 9.5 hours. Great day!
