Trail is well-maintained and well marked. Some people do it in fewer days but try to take your time and enjoy a swim or leisurely stroll through basins or high divide trail, especially if the weather is clear.
Parking at Sol Duc Falls was crowded. We ended up parking on road about a mile down from entrance. You can drop bags off then park. Lots of flowers blooming and fresh huckleberries. We didn’t see any animals except two deer at Deer Lake. Mosquitoes were plentiful so be prepared.
