The Section 4 loop alternative follows the standard route for ~1.5 miles to the Bus #2 turnaround on Lake Washington Blvd. From there, the route heads uphill on Madrona Drive turning right at the E Pike St boardwalk, aka The Valley of the Gnomes. The route then gradually weaves back towards Lake Washington through many ample sidewalks, eventually arriving at Madison Park Beach. From there, it’s mostly uphill along E. Madison St to arrive back at the Lake Washington Playfields. The route is a total of about 4.5 miles and gains 255 feet.
