Day trip out of Boston Harbor, circumnavigating Steamboat and Hope Islands with exploration of Squaxin Passage features and Belspeox Cove at Squaxin Island.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • A relatively small tidal exchange (Dofflemeyer Point was 4.8 ft and flooding at departure time; we arrived back at max, 10.8 ft) allowed for paddling this route within the constraints of an SK2, SK2+ paddle, and provided sufficient water to clear Steamboat Island Bridge and get into Belspeox Cove.
