Sea Kayak - Lake Washington
Doris Cooper Houghton Beach (DCHB) Park to OO Denny Park Paddle and back. Lovely paddle with close urban scenery with views of the Olympics, Mt Rainier, 520 Floating bridge, Seattle skyline, and Magnuson Park.

Paddled on 2/12/26. DCHB Parking lot is limited to 2 hours. Similarly the parking spots on NE 58th street are also limited to 2 hours parking. On this paddle day parking on NE 59 and NE 60 th streets have no parking time limit. We launched from the beach that is at the end of NE 60th that enters the park. This short street into the park is not shown on Google Maps. After unloading gear we parked our cars on NE 59th and NE 60th streets. I suggest reconnaissance of the area prior any paddle day to confirm if there are more 2 hour parking limits.
Paddle is straight forward with suitable areas to stop at if required.
Beautiful day for a paddle. No boat traffic and DCHB had very few people. Temperature was about 40 degrees, high clouds, and light winds. Flat water or light ripples. Late lunch at Ivar’s, which is just across DCHB, afterwards. There are multiple establishments close by for refreshments.
