Calm weather, and very low tides, we needed to walk out the boats about 100 ft from the boat ramp, but it was on solid ground. Lot of people on the beach and in kayaks and paddleboards.
We had several people drop out in the days before the trip, so there were only 3 of us, but it was a great day paddling. We went around Chuckanut Island, then over to the opposite peninsula and was the "dinosaur spine" formation. One participant was interested in checking out the railroad bridge so we explored over there, but the tide was so low there was almost no water under the bridge. After a lunch stop we headed back. We saw plenty of seal, and some heron.
