Sea Kayak - Boston Harbor Vicinity

Wednesday evening paddle launching from Boston Harbor. Route was to Gull Harbor and a bit further south, determined at launch based on conditions and group preferences.

  • It was a bit windy at times, but high tide was at 8 PM, so conditions were excellent for paddling into Gull Harbor.

Had a good paddle from Boston Harbor Marina. In addition to myself, there were 1 assistant leader and 8 participants. Wind was predicted to be 8 kt, and it appeared to be about that at times. One member of the group got a significant neck gasket tear when suiting up, so we played it safe and paddled to Gull Harbor and a bit further south. Since we were near the summer solstice, it was still very light when we returned to Boston Harbor about 8:30.
