Trip Report

Naches, Yakima & Seymour Peaks

Trip Date: 7/19/2014
Round trip miles: 10
Elevation gain: 3300

This was supposed to be a trip to Del Campo, but there was a 90% chance of rain so I relocated the trip to Chinook Pass, which had much better weather. We first scrambled Naches Peak. There is definitely a hard move on the north ridge just below the summit to be careful with. Small party size recommended.

After returning to the parking lot at 10:30, we decided to head for Three Way Peak. We traveled on the PCT for about 3 miles north, took a break at the overlook above Crystal Lakes, returned to the trail and followed it about another .5 mile before going off trail (helmets recommended), heading for the col at 6400. From there we turned left (west) and headed for the summit. Returned the way we came.

Great weather and views today.
