Mount St. Helens/Worm Flows

3/30/2016 - Great and sunny trip up St. Helens just before the permit season. Snow starts almost at the trailhead, if you're skinning up, there are some ground patches, but skinnable almost from the start. Nice and hard snow till 1pm, then became slushy and wet (temps were very high). Used crampons just before joining Monitor ridge because of icy patches, but could have done without. 6 hours to the rim, 2.5 hours descent, one hour hanging at the rim, going to the summit, etc. Snow shoes recommended to avoid post holing on the descent.
Great weather and a great time!
