Mount Maude & Seven Fingered Jack

Wonderful larch trip up. Day 1: Mt Carne, across the high traverse. Some was on loose talus. Camped at upper Ice Lake. Smoke seen around lower ice lake. Day 2: Summited Maude via S Slope and exited via Leroy Basin to Phelps Creek TH. The larch are at their peak. The road to the TH is very bumpy and pitted. Would recommend high clearance vehicles. Also NO RUNNING WATER at Leroy Basin, so if you head in thru the Le Roy Creek trail, get some at creek crossing before the camps/toilet.
