March GoHike Pacing Hike: 2 to 4 miles, 0 to 750 feet of elevation gain - Bridle Trails State Park

We hiked with a group of 11 Mountaineers after a very windy evening. The park had a few downed trees and large branches(where Tree limbo)was required, we picked up branches from the trail along the way. The park was mudy in some sections but overall not any worse that other days. We hikes along trillium, raven, coyote and along the ridge before you come back down to the parking lot. A nice hike with little wind and no rain!

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Trails had down branches, limbs, and trees from the windstorm overnight - several blocking the trails.  Overall, we felt safe and did not hear any creaking trees.  The trail was a little muddy, but no worse than usual.
