Stymied on Plan A and Plan B, Plan C proved workable.

Just a foot or so of new snow at the elevation of Longmire.
With the gate closed at Longmire all day we couldn't access or original goal, Cowlitz Gap. So, we tried to snowshoe up the paradise River to Narada Falls. Finding the log crossing of the Nisqually River washed away, we decided to follow the bed of the Nisqually as far upstream as we could. We turned back at the outflow of Van Trump Canyon, but still managed to improvise a reasonable winter's day snowshoe trip.
