Trip Report

Day Hike - Whitehorse Trail

A rail trail hike near the North Fork Stillaguamish River.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  •  The trail was free of debris and in generally good condition.

We started our hike at the Fortson Ponds around 9 AM. The parking lot is large so we were able to find a spot without any issues.

Near the parking lot we got a nice view of one of the ponds (pictured). It looks like it'll be quite the site come Spring. We went a little over 3 miles out to a view of the North Fork Stillaguamish River. We did have glimpses of it throughout the hike. It was overcast for the majority of the hike with the weather giving us on-and-off rain. Since we got some breaks between the instances of rain we were able to take in the views.
