Some snow patches remain above Horse Camp. Spikes used for a couple of stretches, but not really needed. We did the Lollipop loop clockwise, and also encountered a few snow patches along the ridge. Three or four trees down on the descent and a couple of deteriorating small stream bridges, otherwise the whole route is in pretty good shape. Surprisingly few people out there on such a nice sunny day.
The final unpaved mile to the trailhead has a few holes but not bad, was dry and dusty today. No flowers blooming, saw only one lone trillium. No bugs yet, hurray! A very nice hike with awesome companions, including a brand new Mountaineers member, Elizabeth, on her first hike with our club!
