Day Hike - Cougar Mountain: Big Tree Ridge Trailhead
A beautiful day to ramble around Cougar Mountain from the Big Tree Ridge trailhead, going to such iconic places as "Million Dollar View" and seeing the "Fantastic Erratic" rock. We had opportunities to identify some common trees and ferns as well as some mosses along the way.

Trail was well maintained, with signs at junctions. A few slightly muddy sections but clear of snow. There was one downed tree we needed to clamber over.
Starting from the Big Tree Ridge trailhead, we traveled up the trail to the Million Dollar View, where we had a snack.
Along the way we saw the first flowers of the Osoberry shrub
and interesting ferns and mosses
and of course, fun conversation along the way
