The road is clear to the parking lot at the TH. There is enough space to turn around and see if you are lucky enough to avoid parking on the road.

    The trail has intermittent snow.

The creek crossing was okay on our way in. Our group made it across dry and without removing boots. Another party decided to remove boots and walk across. On the way out, the flow was much higher. We found a narrow log a little downstream that 7/9 of our group successfully used. The other 2/9 decided it was safer to walk across the creek.

You will have a choice of using Railroad Grade (better views) but will need to make several easy transitions between snow and dirt trail, or stay on the valley floor (all snow) which is climbers left of Railroad Grade.

We camped at 6500ft. No running water that we know of. We entered the glacier by descending from the ridge that separates camp and the glacier.

It was a warm weekend so we were able to start without crampons. The route up the glacier was easy to follow using the bootpack. No open crevasses directly on the route but a few small ones to admire close by. We took an extended break at the crater for water, snacks, sun protection and putting on crampons before heading up the Roman Wall. Good bootpack to follow on the Roman Wall. On the way down, some of our group were comfortable plunge stepping down.

The heat evaporated our spirits on the hike out. We were able to rehydrate our spirits when we found running water at 48.71706, -121.83455. Overall, a great climb with a great team.
