Basic Glacier Climb - Mount Baker/Coleman Glacier

two crevasse to speak of on route. one was a one foot step over. the other was wider(maybe 3') and was a little awkward going up. on the way down, one was able to step over, the rest of us did an easy jump. snow was a little soft as it did not freeze the previous night, but was not as slushy as i worried it could have been. perfect weather. a moderate pace throughout, gave us a pleasant walk up to the top.

started hiking from the cars 2:30am by headlamp.  my plan was walk at a moderate pace and to reach the summit by 11:00am, so we could descend before the route was trashed by the sun.  we accomplished that goal and were descending before 11:00am. we descended at a very moderate pace.  returned to the cars by 3:30pm.
everyone was all smiles! great group!  fun to do as a day trip :>)
