Alpine Scramble - Seymour and Yakima

Started for Yakima at ~ 8:30 AM.  Parking lot had a few spots when we arrived (on a sunday) and none when we left.  Route is relatively obvious.  Gully with loose rock a bit obnoxious and definitely should wear helmets.  Going down we took slightly different route on skiers right which avoided some of the loose rock but required one downclimb/traverse move that was a bit dicey.  Back to cars at 10:30.  Had some delays on the way up for one person.

We took the "short" route to Seymour from SR 123.  It was about 4 miles round trip and 2500 gain.  occasional game trails or boot paths but mostly off trail.  No bushwacking though and not many logs to cross.  Back to the cars by about 4.  Great group and trip for a last minute posting!
