Great winter scramble in safe forest terrain.

6:40am 2 Issaquah 2 story Transit Center, northeast corner, 1st floor

1050 17th Ave NW, Issaquah, WA 98027

7:30am Pratt Lake TH (ready to scramble)

SUMMER (approach road open to TH)

Take Exit 47 off of I-90, turn north and then west (left) onto Forest Road 9035, and continue 0.4 mile to the Pratt Lake Trailhead (1,900 ft).

WINTER  (sometimes snow blocks approach road after crossing I-90 bridge to turn left)

Take Exit 47 off of I-90 and turn north and then west (left) onto Forest Road 9035. If the road is plowed continue on to the Pratt Lake Trailhead. If not, park on the frontage road near the freeway interchange.

  • Snowshoes (aggressive traction like MSR’s REQUIRED - float extensions tbd)
  • Helmet
  • Crampons (tbd)
  • Ice Axe
  • Mountaineering / winter Boots
  • Trekking poles (highly recommended, 11th essential, extra snow bib good too)
  • Microspikes  (tbd: your choice, often helpful on trail to Pratt Lake)

Check with leader for any additional group gear or required equipment specific to trip location
