Various park and rides to accommodate attendees, then 7:30am at the end of the Carbon River Road (where it is closed to vehicular traffic and near the old Ranger Station/restrooms).
A rare visit to Falls Creek Falls and majestic winter views of Willis Wall on the northern aspect of Mount Rainier. This strenuous trip is 3700 feet elevation gain and 9 miles (round trip) with 'up close and personal' interactions with a true northwest rain forest.
We will ascend Arthur using the north ridge that is adjacent to the east side of Falls Creek. We will leave the Carbon River Road ~2 miles from where it is closed to vehicular traffic (near the old Ranger Station and restrooms).
