Exploratory walk around Marymoor Park and Downtown Redmond. Enjoy the park, the Sammamish River and a bit of Lake Sammamish. In Downtown Redmond,, we will see all the new development, the Town Center and the nearly completed Link Light Rail Station. Mostly a flat paved or gravel trail or sidewalk--6.8 miles

Participants need to be able to walk about 2.5 MPH and be able to comfortably complete a 6.8 miles trip. Expect some showers and bring rain protection. We will have periodic rest breaks and stops to explore things of interest along the way. There are bathrooms at the beginning/meet-up spot and at Redmond Town Center.

Meet 1:00 PM Sunday in Marymoor Park at parking lot G. Parking Costs $1.00 (see below). As you enter the park from West Lake Sammamish Parkway, proceed ahead on Marymoor Park Road (the main road) for 0.85 miles. The lot--Lot G is on your right (south). Look for my White Subaru Outback near the restrooms.
Purchase Parking Passes
King County’s Marymoor Park requires a daily parking fee of $1.00 per vehicle. The daily parking fee can be purchased at one of the many parking kiosks throughout the park. Each kiosk accepts currency or coins; a few accept credit cards. Each kiosk also displays a map of a kiosk nearby that accepts credit card payment.

Getting There
From WA-520, take the West Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast exit and take a right onto the Parkway. Take your first left onto NE Marymoor Way and continue on until you reach the parking area.
TAKE TRANSIT
This trailhead is accessible by bus! Plan your visit by bus using TOTAGO, or consult the schedules for Sound Transit route number 542 or route number 545.
Get off at West Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE and NE Leary Way. Then walk south on the Sammamish River trail until you reach the main park entrance on your left.
Required Equipment
Water, snacks, appropriate outerwear, and sturdy shoes. Rain Protection
