Urban Walk - Chief Sealth Trail/Light-Rail Loop

Walk one-way from Beacon Hill to Rainier Beach on the Chief Sealth Trail and shuttle back on Link Light Rail. Enjoy ridgetop views and a variety of city parks, community gardens and recreation areas in Southeast Seattle.

This is an undulating route on a paved sidewalk and a paved trail.  The trail is mostly under power lines and open to the sky with little shade.  Bring sun protection if sunny out.  Bring rain protection if rain or showers is forecasted.  Current forecast (as of Tuesday, 4/23) is for clouds and upper 50s.

Meet at 10 AM at the Link Light Rail Beacon Hill Station--on the street at Beacon Avenue South and  16th Avenue South, in front of the elevators, just across the street from the Red Apple Market.  For those driving, there is unrestricted parking one to two blocks west on 15th Ave. South.  We will meet here, walk on city street for about 1.5 miles until we reach the start of the Chief Sealth Trail.  We will walk the trail to its end a bit south of the Rainier Beach Light Rail Station.  We will double back to the  station and take the train back to Beacon Hill.  Bring your ORCA card or $2.50 cash or credit for the train fare.
