Urban Walk - Cedar River Trail

Riverside walk through rural and cityscapes along the Cedar River in Renton, WA. We will begin along the Maple Valley Hwy. at Maplewood Roadside Park go through natural areas, then explore Downtown Renton, and continuing on the trail to its end at Lake Washington. We will return a similar route with a few different twists and turns. Expect highly varied sites of interest from meadowland, forest and riparian nature to city shopping streets to industrial airplane factories and great views along the lakeshore.

This trip should be fun with a lot of different sort of things to see.  It is a true cross-section of Renton.  You won't be bored.  Most to all of the travel will be on paved surface.

Meet at 11 AM at Maplewood Roadside Park   3225 SE 7th St, Renton, WA 98058

Take the Maple Valley Hwy (hwy 169) exit off of I-405 and proceed southeast 1.2 miles on Maple Valley Hwy.  Turn right at NE 7th St.  The parking area is right there at the corner of NE 7th and Maple Valley Hwy.
