A "spark bird" is the particular bird species that sparks one's interest in birding.
This collection gathers the best stories, essays, and poems about birds from forty years of Orion. In it you’ll find owls, cranes, thrushes, finches, penguins, petrels, and buzzards—and the people who love them, including Brian Doyle, John Freeman, Elizabeth Kolbert, J. Drew Lanham, Mary Oliver, Emily Raboteau, Sandra Steingraber, and Terry Tempest Williams.
A small number of book copies will be available for purchase and in-person pick up at the Seattle Program Center Bookstore. You can reach them at info@mountaineers.org or 206-521-6001. You can also purchase books through Orion directly.
Do not place yourself on the waitlist here. Thank you!
Meet at 6:30 pm at the Seattle Program Center.
