Join the Mountains to Sound Greenway and the US Forest Service to celebrate National Public Lands Day with service! Volunteers will help improve Owhi Campground by installing and staining picnic tables and fire pits, as well as brush and remove downed trees from the trails that connect Owhi to Pete Lake and Salmon la Sac. We will also install new picnic tables, and dismantle unofficial fire pits.

As a half-day activity, participants who complete this activity are not eligible to receive the Stewardship Credit badge. If you have completed multiple half-day stewardship activities within the past year and you need this badge for course credit, please email info@mountaineers.org with the dates of your participation and our Member Services team will award you the badge.

Driving Directions
From Cle Elum, take State Highway 903 north 16 miles then turn left on Forest Road 46 / Cooper River Road. Travel about 5.3 miles, and turn right on Road 4616 and continue about one half mile to the campground which is to the left on spur road 113.
Required Equipment
Bring water and snacks. The event ends at 1, and it will take almost an hour to return to town, so you won't have access to other food until 2! Pit toilets are available at the campground.
Wear long pants, close toed shoes, and weather-appropriate layers.
Tools, helmets work gloves and eye protection are provided.
