We will walk counterclockwise to the south end of Lake Union. (NOT A LOOP WALK) Intent is to clear trail side trash encountered as we walk at a slow pace. The Seattle Urban Walk Committee will provide; bags, gloves, safety vests and litter pickers.

We will begin with 20 minutes of spread-out litter pickup in Gas Works Park before gathering at the Burke Gilman junction.  We will walk 1.2 miles on the Burke Gilman trail at a pace of 2-2.5 mph without picking up litter until we have crossed the Fremont Bridge. We will then move south down the western side of the Cheshiahud Loop Trail until we meet Lake Union Park/MOHAI at the southern tip of Lake Union.  We should finish around noon, and SLU offers many places for lunch after our activity has concluded. Participants may retrace our steps back to Gas Works for 6 miles overall or continue the Cheshiahud Loop for 6.5 miles overall. There is also public transportation, the 40 or 62 buses will return you near Gas Works Park. Trip planner | Sound Transit
