We’ll leave Coronet Bay on Whidbey Island at 9:20 AM and catch a 1.2kt ride East.

We’ll paddle around Hoypus Point then head around the NE corner of Skagit Island stopping briefly to make adjustments or use the vault toilet before continuing South to Lang Bay on Hope Island where we’ll take a short break, have a snack and have access to the vault toilet.

We’ll leave the beach around 11:12 AM and head East, then South around the back side of the island exploring the coastline and sandstone walls along the way until we reach Hope Island light at the Soutwestern tip of the island.

From there we’ll make our crossing at slack over to, and around Ben Ure Spit, and into the cove and beach where we’ll stop at the park for lunch aroung 12:20 PM. We’ll have an hour to eat, use the facilities and play in the cove—including practicing rescuing one another before departing at 1:20 PM to enjoy a nice ebb current growing from 1.4kt to 2kt when we round Hoypus Point and zoom back to the put in to arrive around 2:00 PM.
