Launching on time will be critical because of the currents in the west end of Hale Passage this is critical, otherwise we'll be paddling even harder against the ebb at the northernmost point! After passing this, the crux of the paddle, we'll take a break at the Tacoma DeMolay Sandspit Nature Preserve, which is a part of the WWTA system, which will be well deserved!
After paddling along the south side of the island and across Toliva Shoals we'll take another break at the fishing pier and park on the eastern end of the island before making the crossing back to Titlow, across the ebb, giving us a hand heading north.
